I haven't experienced a pink-sand beach in person. I'm wondering what they're really like. What kind of texture is it? Is it good for a stroll? The Bahamas has its own pink-sand beach, called Pink Sands Beach , natch. It's located on lovely Harbour Island.

It really is a pink beach...rather than rocks, the sand was formed from millions of tiny little shells. They're rather smooth thanks to the effects of time and the waves

    Pink Sands Beach Bahamas

Harbour Island is where you want to go in the Bahamas to experience the famous pink sand beaches which are found all along the east side of the island.

You can only get there by plane through North Eleuthera Airport, followed by a short water taxi ride from neighboring North Eleuthera but it's worth seeing these beautiful pinkish white sands that have the texture of talcum powder.
