There are tons of places to camp in Indiana. A few favorites of mine are Clifty Falls State Park, Pokagon State Park, Indiana Dunes State Park, Turkey Run State Park, Versailles State Park, Hardin Ridge Recreation Area, Summit Lake State Park and Raccoon State Recreation Area. Out of all of them, my top pick for camping in Indiana is Turkey Run because of the wonderful views of sandstone gorges.

I really enjoy camping at Turkey Run (over by Terre Haute) and there are some really nice trails there for hiking. If you prefer primitive camping, head to Indiana National Forest which is dotted with many nice campsites, especially around the Mississinewa and Salamonie reservoirs.

My recommendation is for McCormick's Creek state park and Spring Mill State Park...this last one is home to old growth woods, caves, pioneer village & plenty of trails.
