Conde Nast Traveler voted this scenic island as one of its top 10 destinations in the world. During the winter, snowmobiling and cross country skiing are on the agenda on Mackinac Island. During the warmer months, enjoy hiking, biking, tours of Fort Mackinac, carriage rides, and more. During the summer the island also celebrates the Mackinac Island Fudge Festival. While you're visiting the area, enjoy the walk along Mackinac Bridge.
This island is one of my favorite places in Michigan...Every time im there it feels like im on a different state. By the way, if you've never crossed the Mackinac Bridge and want to enjoy great views, I'd suggest doing the ferry from St. Ignace. as it offers the best view of the Straits and Mackinac Island.
