If you're looking for someplace close to home but offering its own unique charm, culture, and an array of activities, both day and night, consider making your vacation destination Puerto Rico. The lively environment, beautiful beaches, cultural sites, ancient cathedrals, fine dining, and sizzling nightlife have something for everyone. What are the best places to go for an evening of good food, entertainment and live music?
Puerto Rico foods My advise to anyone going to Puerto Rico is stay away from touristy eateries and look out for kioskos or kiosks (food stands). These kiosks sell tasty and very affordable foods like piononos, which is sweet plantain stuffed with beef and topped with cheese.
Don't miss exploring El Yunque National Forest when in Puerto Rico. This tropical rain forest has hundreds of species of trees and there's ton of wildlife viewing to be done. As far as eating, it's true that food and drink are quite expensive in Puerto Rico but as the last poster says go to the same places locals got for eating...the food is better and cheaper too.
