With so many places to choose from, it can be difficult to choose just one hotel but if you're interested in history, then the Riviera Hotel is the place to stay. Originally constructed in 1955, it has earned its place as a long time entertainment destination. Enjoy exciting casino action, live entertainment, fine dining in multiple restaurants, a gaming arcade and beautifully appointed rooms at very reasonable prices.

    Riviera Hotel Strip Las Vegas

the Riviera isn't too bad..Didn't think we'd like the location but this place ended up being the perfect spot for me and my wife because it wasn't crowded like other hotels further south of the strip. As far as affordability, the price was right for a Strip hotel and I found it to be great value with breakfast buffet at just $12 and $5 minimum live Blackjack table.

What kind of stuff was on the buffet? Was it the typical bacon and eggs or was there anything exotic on there?

The buffet is pretty typical--and nice--brunch fare like omelets and fresh fruit. It's pretty tasty and a good way to start a day in Vegas.
