safety in New Haven

    Here it's a few suggestions on safe areas to stay along the coastal route in Connecticut. I suggest staying in State Street in an inn called La Quinta if you're on budget. If you want nice suburbs try Comfort Inn in Guilford or Rodeway in Branford. If you can afford to spend top-dollar, stay at Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook or Waters Edge in Westbrook.

    New Haven is far from a haven to tell you the truth but it isn't nearly as bad as what some people say it is. My incline is that people who are saying New Haven isn't very safe are probably locals trying to put off people from coming there. Saying this, just like any city, I wouldn't walk from Union Station, State Street and East Rock at night because is not well lit.
