Please don't slam me for this...Basically I will be stopping over in Bahrain on my way to Europe, and I've opted to stay for the night and following day. I've been hearing terrible stories that it's dangerous for foreigners to be there now? As many specifics and credentials you can give, the better. Thanks everyone!
I know many European expats living in Dubai and I have visit Bahrain and all other Gulf states in a few occasions. I can say that you can rest assured that the entire Gulf region is a perfectly safe place to be in, irrespective of age, gender or what CNN may say. Believe me that the likelihood for something to happen during a stopover in London (not to mention the US) is probably 100 times higher than in Bahrain which is a pretty little safehaven and ideal transit point between East and West. Honestly, don't fall trap of the Western media which loves to paint this bad picture of the Middle East for whatever political propaganda.
