A 1-day music fest will be going on in Blake Park at Mount Maunganui on Saturday, February 2 from 10am until 9pm. The music fest features local musicians and every type of music from alternative and hip hop to rock and pop. The first fest drew over 10,000 music enthusiasts and the promoters are expecting close to 15,000 for the February event so if you're going to be in New Zealand and looking for a full day of live music, check it out and get your tickets early.

2013 summerfest at Blake Park is no doubt getting a lot of hype about it because of the two leading music acts JWilliams, I Am Giant. and boy band Titanium. Tickets aren't sold out yet but not sure if you can get the $10 teen pass (under 18 years of age) or the $20 adult ticket now since you had to be an early bird. On their website (summerfestnz (dot)com) doesnt say they're sold out...

The early bird specials ended Dec 22. The regular prices kicked in on Dec 23 at $20 for ages 5-18, $30 for adults, and $50 for 2 adults/2 kids or 1 adult/3 kids.Still not bad prices for what looks like an innovative and diverse line up of talent.:)

    cheap tickets for the SUMMERFEST

Thats' true, but if you're quick you can get your hands on cheap tickets for the SUMMERFEST. More early bird tickets have gone on sale today at Mount Main Beach and Mount Dury Beach Base, which will be $10 cheaper than normal.

    Blake Park for the cricket

i am a regular at Blake Park for the cricket...there's nothing better to do there than enjoying a one day cricket match with family and friends enjoying a few cold ones while the boys do battle on the pitch. By the way, Brewers Bar has also concerts and gigs..they're about half a mile from Blake Park.
