It looks like local surfers in Hunting Island are banding together to file a petition to reopen Hunting Island beaches for surfing. At the moment, the ban bans surfers from surfing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday while the beach's lifeguards are on duty. The main area banned is South Beach, where most of the local surfers go to catch waves because the area provides the best break.

I've been hearing about this...it's shocking the excuse they made to ban surfers saying that their boards are a danger to swimmers. Sounds like a bunch of belloni to me
