    hi there,

The Taj Mahal is situated on the bank of the Yamuna River in Agra India. The Taj Mahal was built in honor of the Prince Shah Jahan's third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to their 14th child.

The Taj Mahal in Agra was constructed in the 17th century and it took around 22 years for the project to be completed. More than 20,000 workers and more than 1,000 elephants were used to transport the marble stone work and carry out the build.

To get the best out of the Taj Mahal experience it is best to visit the site in the morning and evening to appreciate this lovely architecture.

    Hope this helps

    hi ....

Taj Mahal, is one of the modern seven wonders of the world. It is an example of Indian Islamic architecture. It stands amid acres of gardens on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra.

The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan got it built after the death (1629) of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The most famous part of the monument is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal with its white marble dome, but the 42-acre complex also includes mosques, minarets and other buildings.

The entire complex, with gardens, gateway structures, and mosque, was completed in 1653.It is said Shah Jahan had the hands or fingers of the craftsmen who built the Taj Mahal cut off to ensure they couldn't create another building like it.
