Hi there, what are the best water sports in Tauranga. I'm reaching on 12th Jan and staying for a week. So please recommend some nice water activities and places? Thanks.

New Zealand offers an unlimited range of water sports / activities, especially the Tauranga is a stunning city with many things to do for all travellers. You can do a lot more such as Canoeing & Kayaking, diving, fishing, windsurfing and swimming. All sights can be explored by sailing at Tauranga with lots of activities like swimming with dolphins and whale watching. Tauranga has awesome beaches, and I have been twice to Mt Maunganui Main Beach, Ohope Beach and Maketu Beach. Wow, they are wonderful to have fun & relax.

In addition to watersports, Tauranga is very popular for marine adventures. There are plenty things to see and do including Dolphin Safaris, picnic to Waimarino Adventure Park, White Island Volcano tour and trip to Marshalls Animal Park. The Dolphin Safari within 4 to 5 hrs will take you on a great marine adventure to watch & swim with wild dolphins in their natural habitat. The White Island tour gives you a great opportunity to explore one of the world’s most accessible live volcano at New Zealand. I think it's once in a life time opportunity to have this volcano adventure, so don't miss it.

Mount Maunganui and Papamoa Beach are very popular & the best holiday destinations perfect for couples, families or groups. Papamoa Beach locates along the coastline from Mount Maunganui, offers many water activities including Dolphin Seafaris, cruise trips, and Kayak tour. Swimming with dolphins was my awesome experience at Mount Maunganui, so you can also try that.
