By late October, Thailand will allow visitors to be able to enter the country multiple times over the course of six months. They will be offering a six-month visa which will cost US$142. This is good news because currently, Thailand is one of the handful of countries that does not offer multiple-entry visas yet.

Those over 50 have been able to get 12 months visas for Thailand, but it is true the maximum tourists are allowed is 3 months but not continuously. In order to be in Thailand for 3 months you had to make 2-3 trips out of Thailand and come back again. I still cannot see any onformation regarding 6 month visa from the official website of Thailand

Actually, the 6 months visa is on that website you just pointed. It is under Official Visa Category “F†

Then again, that page is confusing as it says: "This type of visa is issued to official passport-holders or UN Laissez Passer who wish to assume duties for a short period of time at a foreign Diplomatic Mission or Consulate or International Organization in the Kingdom"
