The “Paul Simon: Words & Music†exhibition opened 2 days ago at the Jewish Museum of Maryland in Baltimore. It will be there through Jan. 18 before continuing its nationwide tour. The exhibit includes dozens of items from Mr. Simon’s music career of more than 50 years, including jackets, his first guitar and handwritten lyrics.
I got to see this exhibit by Paul Simon at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it was well worth the time, especially since Paul Simon himself is the one narrating his own exhibit. As you stroll through the collection, Paul Simon guides you through his life with the use of time lines that illustrate who he was as a young musician, the process involved in writing songs and his jump to world music.
