Hi There! Heading to Sapporo for 5 days with kids. We're arriving at New Chitose airport, so how to reach Sapporo from the airport? I would like to go by train. so any idea? Also, need help on interesting activities for younger kids?
Sapporo is located around 50 km away from the New Chitose airport, and you can go by express train, airport bus or a taxi. But taxi is very expensive anywhere in Japan, so better choose train and you will reach within 35mins. From early morning, trains run every 15 minutes until evening, and you can buy tickets from ticket vending machines. Moerenuma Park, Sapporo Beer Museum, Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill, Shiroi Koibito Park, Sapporo Art Park, Takino Suzuran Hillside Park and Mt. Moiwa are some of the key attractions of Sapporo.
