On a 4-day mini getaway covering the weekend in Chicago, what are the five "must see" places to go while visiting? I'm down for the House of Blues, Legends and the observatory at the Hancock building. Some extraordinary places to eat would also be appreciated!

places to see and eat in Chicago

There are lots of cheap eats you can have such as hot dogs and the famous Italian beef sandwich, which you can get from places like Portillo's or Al's Italian Beef.

As far as things to do and see, I would not miss visiting Millennium Park. It's free to walk through and you will see very cool modern art in the park such as the famous Bean, which is a giant silver jelly-bean sculpture that reflects the skyline of the city and is very pretty.

Thanks for the restaurant suggestions. Definitely want some good places for Chicago dogs. Another place that looks like a good day tour is along the Riverwalk.
