Virgin America and China Southern Airlines have announced a code-share agreement between the two airlines. If you're based on Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Newark, New York, Seattle, San Diego or Washington, D.C. and want to travel to Southern China you can catch a Virgin flight from there to Los Angeles or San Francisco to connect with China Southern, which is the only airline offering nonstop service between Guangzhou and Wuhan.

I think Virgin mostly operates on the west coast for flights to China, though China Southern Airlines also offers direct flights to Guangzhou from New York. It takes around 16 hours to get there from New York so I guess it must be faster from Los Angeles?
