I'll be in Rome for 10 days and I am planning on touring Rome as much as possible and including a day trip if possible. I was thinking of traveling from Rome to Sardinia as a day trip and I was wondering if you could suggest cheap alternatives?

    hi there,

I would suggest taking a ferry ride to the island to save money and stay within your budget. For instance, the Fiumicino Ferry to Sardinia leaves from the Fiumicino Port. This port is located about twenty miles from Rome on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

You can book a Fiumicino ferry to Sardinia that arrives at the ports of Arbatax and Golfo Aranci.
