traveling to Benin?

    Here it's my advice to anyone wanting to visit Benin. Unlike many other African countries, they speak French in Benin, which means if you dont have a basic knowledge of french it'll be hard to get around there. Togo and Cotonou are good places to base or anywhere in northern Benin, which is great for sightings of antelopes, warthogs, hippos, crocs, etc;

    If I were you, I'd I base myself at the Hotel du Lac for your stay in Cotonou. The Hotel du Lac is one of the best hotels in Cotonou. If you dont speak french, you better learn some or hire an English speaking tourist guide if you really want to enjoy a trip to Benin.
