Tropical Storm Ana is expected to hit Hawaii's Big Island any time soon. Hawaii is declaring a state of emergency for the entire island chain so schools will be closed along with the state beach parks and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Hawaiian Airlines and Island Air have both waived reservation change fees for travelers with tickets on scheduled flights statewide through Oct. 19.

As we speak this storm is moving towards British Columbia's central coast, Vancouver Island, Haida Gwaii and Metro Vancouver...

I don't think it even touched Hawaii as it went past it then becoming storm Gonzalo I believe...haven't heard anything on the news about it which is strange. what's up with the names they give storms..does anyone find it weird to name storms after people?
