Who's had the chance to go off the beaten path and visit Turtle Island? It also goes by the name Nanuya Levu. For a long time, Turtle Island was closed to tourists, but it's become a great place to go and relax.

Turtle Island is located in the west of the Fiji Islands. The options for things to do are just what you'd expect for a quiet island: scuba diving, great beaches, lots of great meals.

Turtle Island is really secluded, in fact, there are only a handful of villas to go along with the private beaches and lovely scenery.

I am not sure but i think the american guy who bought this island coined this name becuase he didn't like the sound of Nanuya Levu. As far as I know, turtle island was known to have a huge population of wild goats, but not turtles.

Ok thanks I think 'goat' would have not sound glamorous enough.

LOL. Turtle Island does have a much nicer ring than goat island. Although both are just adorable at times.
