This destination just got added to my list of places to go. For anyone who enjoys history as well as classic bourbon-inspired cocktails, this trail in Louisville is not to be missed. Along the Urban Bourbon Trail you'll have access to numerous establishments well-stocked with up to 150 bourbon varieties. If you get a passport from the Visitor Center or download it on an iPhone, get it stamped along the way. Once you reach six stamps, you'll receive a Citizen of Bourbon Country certificate. Too fun. Don't bypass the restaurants, too, serving bourbon-inspired menus.
Most of the world's bourbon is made in tiny Bardstown (south of Louisville)...my favorite bar is Buck's Bar in the Old Louisville historic district. Once you settle in at this bar, it's hard to leave!
