Two months ago Alaska Airlines acquired Virgin America in a deal valued at nearly $4 billion.
And here's Alaska Airlines and Virgin Airlines Route Maps so you see see the overlap of routes as of 6/16/16. I suspect some of these routes will be discontinued.
Thanks for posting all this great information! I wouldn't be surprised if some of the routes are compressed. But it also looks like each airline has different strengths. Virgin has a lot more flights to New England/the Mid-Atlantic, and Alaska has more flights throughout the West and into Mexico. They complement each other well. Now the question will be: will the prices go up?
