Many years ago I toured Linville Caverns located in Marion, NC. What an adventure. The caverns are massive and eerily quiet. Loved it. Linville Falls off the Blue Ridge Parkway is equally spectacular. If you're traveling to NC this summer, you might want to add both stops to your vacation itinerary.

The Blue Ridge Mountains are so pretty. I think they're some of the prettiest places I've ever visited. We got to go in the fall, which was totally awesome, and ended up in Asheville.. I loved touring the Biltmore house. It would have been cool to see some natural wonders like the falls.

The Blue Ridge is spectacular in the fall. Like the Great Smoky Mountains, the fall colors and crisp weather make the trip a real pleasure. The Biltmore House is icing on the cake, for sure. If you're up that way again, about 25 miles from Asheville is Lake Lure. Beautiful place to stay and visit.
