2016 is a big year for the National Parks. The entire system is turning 200, and Volcanoes National Park is reaching the 100 year milestone. There will be a bunch of programs throughout the year at the national park, focusing on Hawaii volcanoes. These include ranger-led talks and guided walks. All of these programs are free (although an entrance fee is charged to get into the park).

Anyone going to Hawaii really doesn't want to miss the Volcanoes Park....it's hard to describe in words what it feels like to see lava flowing or a flock of nene fly through a rainbow. There are also many petroglyphs to be seen there.
