If you are planning to stay in downtown Indianapolis this summer and want to visit a waterpark within a 20-30 minute drive, your options are Splash Island in Plainfield and the Monon Community Center Waterpark in Carmel. I have taken my young toddlers to both and enjoyed them equally. Both are clean and offer play areas for younger one.

Splash Island is great but it gets super crowded nowadays because it's the cheapest around...around $9 to get it. You will found that going early during the week is best if you want to avoid the crowds. If you are based around Carmel, it takes about 60 minutes to get to Splash island.

Avoid Caribbean Cove Indoor Water Park..it's terrible the reviews online speak for themselves. other places with pools can be found in Goldfish Swim School in Carmel which charges $5 per person, and LaShonna Bates Indoor Aquatics Center in Indianapolis.
