    You can carry up to 400 USD of Cuban-origin goods, 100 USD of which may be alcohol or tobacco products. If you return from Cuba with unauthorized goods of Cuban origin or over the limit, they will be seized..and I know this about bringing too many Cuban cigars and rum, which are routinely confiscated even when bought at duty-free.

    The rules have really changed for tours of Cuba, and it's only been since March that the U.S. introduced the current rules. Americans still need to visit for "educational" reasons or "people-to-people" visits for legal travel to Cuba. If you have questions, travel.state.gov has information about traveling to Cuba.
