You can check out the Nasher Museum in Downtow Durham, and if the weather is warm (and it usually is) stroll through Duke Gardens.

Duke Gardens are close to my favorite attraction in North Carolina: the Duke Lemur Center. It's not really a zoo, but the Duke researchers take care of all kinds of lemurs, lorises, and other small primates. They offer tours and it's a really cool place to see. Plus, it's just darn cute.

    must see in North Carolina

you gotta love Duke Gardens, especially in the spring when the wisteria is in bloom. Duke gardens is a magnificent place and boasts many areas and spaces within the gardens where you can seat and enjoy a picnic.
