Anyone traveling with kids to Oregon this spring break? I suggest the following: 1) take a trip to the coast for whale watching 2) take a roller-coaster ride at Oaks Park. They have an offer of buy one ride bracelet, get one free during spring break. You can get the printable coupon from their website. 3) attend the Spring Beer and Wine Festival, which features live music and free food tastings. 4) catch a play at the Oregon Children's Theatre. Prices start at $15 up to $28.
whale watching in Oregon with kids I too think whale watching is one of the best things to do with kids during spring break. Late March (23-30) is the best time to head for the coast and look for the giant gray whales traveling past the coast on their way to their spring and summer feeding grounds off Alaska. Don't forget to visit the Hatfield Marine Science Center for the special marine mammal programs and activities.
"Free" Easter egg hunts Don't forget to add Oregon Zoo to the list...during Spring Break the zoo offers family-freindly camps with hands-on activities for kids. There'll also be a few "Free" Easter egg hunts: one at Carver School at 10:30 am on Sat, March 30. The second at 8 am on Sat, March 23 at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, and the third at 10:30 am on Sat, March 30 at Alpenrose Dairy.
