If you have three whole days you might want to take a local train and visit BohuslÃ¤n, the area north of Gothenburg, to see the nature reserves.
There are also plenty of nearby lakes where you can walk around like Stora DelsjÃ¶n lake which isn't far from the city centre. You can take the number 5 tram to TÃ¶pelsgatan, then walk to the lake which takes about15 mins.
You can also visit Slottsskogen which is a large park in the middle of town (sort of in town and opposite the botanical gardens) that has an open zoo in it, moose, deer, seals and penguins are all fairly easy to wander past. It also has a couple of cafes in it that are good for warming up in if the wind is biting.
