I suggest traveling to Kenya first before booking a package holiday. Once you are there, you will be able to learn about local tour operators. Of course, if you rather pay the expense just find your local travel operator ans inquiry with them.
Packages are very smart way to go. I haven't traveled to Kenya, but I have worked some with the Kenya tourism office (didn't end up getting to go). I know they're very nice. On http://www.magicalkenya.com/visit-kenya/tour-operators/ they have a whole list of tour operators who run trips to Kenya. There are a lot of people here who are experts in Kenya tours.
There are many companies but personally i like Euro Africa Travel. Search it in google i hope you will get what you want.
