Silver Dollar City is famous for its theme parks (i.e. The Whitewater water park) and outlet mall shopping. If you plan to visit Silver Dollar City this summer, I would consider staying in a hotel in Branson if you are on a budget. In Silver Dollar City, I suggest staying at the Camden Inn or any other hotel on the 76 Strip as most theatres, hotels and attractions are located there (the Tanger outlet mall is 'just off The Strip)
The nearest hotels to Silver Dollar City are the Best Western Inn (around $90 a night) and Crowne View Heights hotels, which are less than a mile away. There are also condo rentals at the Treehouse and Table Rock Lake, which are about $150 a night.
We go to Silver Dollar City every time I am in Branson! I was there two months ago and it was just as good as I had remembered it but better as they added new roller coasters like Outlaw Run. Thunderation, Giant Barn Swings, Fire in the Hole and The Flooded Mine are my favorite rides.
Try one of the resorts close. I know Eagles Nest owners offer nightly and weekly rentals to travelers. Other than that you can find other hotels in Branson because I feel like SDC is a one day deal and the rest of Branson would be right there for you to enjoy.
