we're traveling to Wisconsin next month and we'd like to sample some of the state's fine wine. Is the Wine Garden festival at the State Fair Park the best time to sample some good Wisconsin wines? Do you know any wineries near Milwaukee and Madison?

    Hi there,

The Wine Garden Festival is not the only time you can sample great Wisconsin wines. There are numerous wineries where you can enjoy a Wisconsin wine tour, and the majority of them are family owned.

For instance, in Milwaukee, the Cedar Creek Winery in nearby Cedarburg is a good bet, while in the capital city of Madison, the Botham Vineyards Winery and the Wollersheim Winery are worth considering.

Outside of Mauston near the deals is the Burr Oak Winery, just west of Mauston on HWY 12-16.
