Brussels Hotels

Even though the summer sees scores of tourists flooding into Brussels, it can still be a good time to find deals at the Brussels hotels. July and August are especially good months for finding deals, as are weekends throughout the year. This is due to the decrease in demand from political and business travelers. Many a hotel in Brussels is aimed at attracting these kinds of travelers, which is why the weekend rates tend to fall. At any rate, there are Brussels hotels for all budgets, and regardless of when you go, finding a good place to rest your head isn’t hard. For those interested in cheap hotels in Brussels, the Brussels hostels are a great way to go. If you can afford a mid-priced option, there are some nice ones that are close to the centrally-located Grand Place.

The following are some recommendations to help you find an excellent hotel in Brussels for your upcoming visit.

When a luxury hotel in Brussels is what you are after, the Conrad Brussels is a good place to start. You’ll find what are arguably the most luxurious guest rooms in Brussels at the Conrad, and the location is also convenient. You are a twenty-minute walk from the Grand Place, though you can be there in no time should you hail a cab or hop on the metro. Closer to the hotel are some other great Brussels attractions like the Horta Museum and the Cinquantenaire Arch, and you’ll also enjoy proximity to one of the city’s best shopping districts. The hotel prides itself on delivering excellent service, and not only are the rooms comfortable, but they are also spacious. Marble bathrooms are standard throughout, and the long list of amenities also includes toiletries, air conditioning, cable TV, a desk, data port hookups, a seating area with a sofa, a mini-bar, a coffee maker, and complimentary guest slippers. Outside of the rooms, you’ll find two excellent restaurants, a cocktail bar, a heated indoor pool, a health club, a spa, a lounge, and a business center. Babysitting and laundry services are available at this luxury accommodation in Brussels, and you can indulge in 24-hour room service as you see fit.

For those who want a luxury hotel in Brussels that is closer to the city center and Grand Place, the Hotel Amigo provides a splendid option. Newly refurbished and aiming to please, you can expect great service, immaculate rooms, and plenty more to enjoy while staying here. Not only did the guest rooms benefit from the recent improvements, but so too did the Hotel Amigo’s conference facilities, which include a 24-hour business center. There are both rooms and suites to choose from at this elegant accommodation in Brussels, and each boasts a luxurious contemporary appeal. The bathrooms feature marble counter tops and mosaic tiles, and guests will find complimentary toiletries, slippers, and bathrobes in them. As one might expect at a 5-star hotel, the amenities are many at Hotel Amigo. Each room and suite has individual climate control, a big working desk, a data port, a stocked mini-bar, satellite cable TV, an in-room safe, and a hair dryer, among other amenities. Excellent Italian cuisine can be enjoyed in the hotel’s restaurant, and other hotel facilities include a bar, a health club, and an elegant ballroom. As is the case at the Conrad Brussels, the Hotel Amigo offers 24-hour room service.

Found in the heart of the city and more or less equidistant from both the Nord train station and the Midi train station is an excellent hotel in Brussels for those who want a taste of luxury at a good price. The Hotel Le Plaza is definitely not a candidate for cheap hotels in Brussels, but it is still a good value when you consider the overall experience. Generally listed as a 4-star hotel, the Hotel Le Plaza offers great rooms and suites. The Traditional Rooms are the simplest, with the more deluxe rooms and suites being priced higher. All of the rooms, regardless of class, feature cable TV, a telephone with voice mail, data port hookups, a desk, a mini-bar, and complimentary guest bathrobes. An excellent restaurant can be found onsite, and if you’re not hungry enough for a meal from a Belgian Master Chef, you can hangout in the restaurant all the same with a cocktail. Also on hand at the Hotel Le Plaza are a fitness center, a business center, and a reception room. Concierge service is available around the clock, and room service is also available. A great location and great rooms are just two of the reasons to include the Hotel Le Plaza on your list of considerations for Brussels hotels.

As mentioned, the Brussels hostels are a good place to start when looking for cheap hotels in Brussels, but if you can swing a little extra for something a bit nicer, the Hotel a la Grande Cloch is worth looking into. Found within walking distance of Grand Place and the Brussels Midi train station, this hotel offers a good location. Each room at the Grande Cloch is comfortable, and some feature a private bathroom. To help keep costs down, you can opt for a room with a shared restroom. You’ll still have your own shower in the cheapest rooms, which is nice. A good breakfast is included in the rates, and each room has cable TV and a desk. The amenities might not be much, but you really can’t beat the price for the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel’s location. Also, though there isn’t a restaurant or a bar at the Hotel a la Grand Cloch, there are plenty of choices close by for both.
