Rimini Italy

Rimini Italy

Located on Italy’s eastern coast in the province of Emilia Romagna, Rimini Italy perfectly blends its historic past with a fun, modern sense of the present. Long reputed as being one of Italy’s most popular seaside resort towns, Rimini vacations can give you everything you a looking for: a little sand, a little sun, a little history and a little nightlife!

Transportation to Rimini Italy is extremely straightforward. The East Coast Rail line has a Rimini stop located between Venice and Ancona. The train also continues along to Milan and Bologna if you are planning further sightseeing during your trip.

A stronghold of Rimini Tourism is obviously its beaches; the seaside town lays claims to over nine miles of them. The Hotel Plaza is a popular hotel that puts you less than 200 feet away from the sea and won’t be a heavy dent in your budget. Its 33 sound-proof rooms feature the basic amenities including satellite television, a modem plug and individually controlled air conditioning. The hotel also has a restaurant, an elevator and offers free passes to the Beach Village to its guests.

Rimini holidays are often characterized by visits to the medieval towns in the vicinity. From the hotel you will easily be able to plan day trips to places such as Rocche Malatestiane, the Repubblica di San Marino and San Leo. Another highlight of Rimini tourism is the extremely popular Aquafan Waterpark. Rumoured to be one of Europe’s largest, the park is filled with thrillingly steep waterslides and rafting adventures.

Located in the centre of the old town, the upscale DuoMo hotel is guaranteed to give Rimini holidays a sense of sleek, modern sophistication. The wow-factor is huge when you step into one of its 43 originally designed rooms. Amenities including pillow service and a choice of sheets will ensure a good night’s sleep, while the cordless phones and flat screen LCD televisions with satellite channels keep you firmly connected to the outside world. A drink at the hotel’s bar, Nomi, is a great first stop when heading out for a night on the town.

The town’s nightlife is another essential part of Rimini holidays. Locals enjoy beginning their night at the seaside bars that pepper the beach. For a taste of real authenticity, spend a little time at the Club Rock Island – a floating bar on stilts that features live music. Late nights are just part of the lifestyle when visiting Rimini Italy, so after a few drinks head inland to the Riccione Alta district where you’ll find a wealth of discos and nightclubs that will keep you on your feet until the wee hours of the morning.

Hotel Villa Luigia offers the best of both worlds – conveniently located near fun boutiques for shopping; it also boasts a private beach less than 200 feet away from the hotel’s door. Rooms come equipped with standard amenities including air conditioning, cable television, hairdryers and a terrace and there is a breakfast room that serves a morning meal from 8 am to 10 am. Guests benefit from restaurant discounts in the area and should make sure to ask the multilingual staff for their recommendations.

One of the town’s most famous inhabitants, Federico Fellini, has become another mainstay of Rimini tourism. Make a point of visiting the museum that pays tribute to the five-time Academy award-winning director.

With so much to see and do in this part of Italy, it is no wonder that many tourists opt to rent Rimini villas. After consulting online or organizing the transaction with your travel agent, make sure to consult a calendar of events and holidays to make sure that you don’t miss out on the fun. One popular event, occurring in June, is the beachfront Festival of Beer which attracts tourists from all over Europe.
