Suggested Itinerary Italy

Planning a trip to Italy can be a tricky task. Deciding where to go and how long to stay can present a challenge, especially in a country as packed with things to do and see as is Italy. The suggested itineraries Rome described below should help to provide a starting point for your vacation. While you may decide to take the suggested itineraries Rome and combine them to create your own personalized trip, you’ll be sure to glean some great ideas.

Suggested Itineraries Rome:

1-3 Days

If you have never been to Rome, you may want to plan to spend your time there. Every Italy itinerary seems to include Rome, and you could literally spend many days there and still not see it all. In Rome, you can take trips to the Pantheon, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Circus Maximus, and so much more. Hotels in Rome are excellent, and of course a number of great museums can also be found in Rome.

4-7 Days

Italy is not comprised of Rome alone, however, and your Rome itineraries can reflect this fact with multiple days. Be sure and travel to Florence and see Michelangelo’s David. Go to Venice and travel the waterways through the city just like they did in Roman times, or head to Genoa and do the same thing. Naples, Palermo, and Pisa are also great choices for uncovering history and seeing fascinating sights. Along the way, you will want to be sure and spend plenty of time eating out in Italy. You will find some of the finest restaurants in the world here, and travelers are delighted to find that Italians enjoy their food.

7+ Days

With more than a week for your suggested itineraries Rome, you have the luxury of traversing much of Italy. Many travelers begin in Rome and head north toward Florence and Genoa. You may also make a southern loop and travel toward Naples and the island of Sicily, where you’ll find Palermo, Marsala, and catch Mt. Vesuvius on the way. Italy is also known for its excellent wine, and many travelers take a wine tasting trip through the country. Tuscany, Veneto, and Umbria tend to be some of the more popular places for wine tours as part of an Italy itinerary.

Your planned Rome itineraries of Italy may not cover all of these areas, but no matter which region and itinerary for Italy you decide on you are sure to strike gold. If you are a wine buff, your Rome itineraries can include a tour of the wineries while checking out the city sights along the way. History lovers will want their itinerary for Italy to include as many sight seeing stops as possible, and Italy does not disappoint.
