Hotel Cipriani and Palazzo Vendramin is arguably one of the finest hotels in Venice. In 1958, Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Venice’s popular Harry’s Bar, opened Hotel Cipriani Venice as a reputable hotel that combined a peaceful atmosphere with proximity to St. Mark’s Square. More than half a century later, Hotel Cipriani, owned and operated by Orient Express, remains one of the most highly regarded hotels in Venice.

Hotel Cipriani Venice is located on the tip of Giudecca Island, a mere four-minute boat ride from St. Mark’s Square. This location is isolated enough to provide tranquility, yet convenient enough to reach Venice’s sights quickly and easily. Its location also offers stunning views of the lagoon and the city. The grounds also feature relaxing, well-manicured gardens.

Many of Hotel Cipriani’s amenities are exceptional to Venetian hotels. Guests can utilize the hotel's tennis courts, golf club, full-service spa, and Olympic-sized pool. For fine dining, there are three restaurants overlooking the lagoon or the pool. Guests can also commission Shirley, the hotel’s private boat and captain, for a private tour of Venice. Parents of younger guests can also use one of the many child-friendly amenities at the hotel’s Smile Club, including babysitting services, activity packs for kids, a kid’s pool, and a supervised playroom.

The rooms at the Hotel Cipriani Venice are designed for comfort and elegance. There are 34 double rooms overlooking the garden or the lagoon. Slightly larger junior suites also include a sitting area. Full-sized suites include a separate living room. All rooms feature a private balcony or terrace, and many rooms at the Hotel Cipriani have been recently renovated.

The grandest room at Hotel Cipriani Venice is the Palazzo Suite. There are two marble bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows offer a 180-degree view of the Venetian lagoon. The room includes its own personal butler, private patio and gardens, private dock, and private plunge pool and adjacent whirlpool.

Linked to the Hotel Cipriani through a private courtyard, the 16 rooms of the Palazzo Vendramin is also part of the Cipriani property. The rooms of this 15th century former residence offer the services of a private butler. Perhaps the best view can be found in the Palazzo’s Dogaressa Suite, overlooking St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace.
