The Marriott Venice Italy will be built on the private island of Sacca Sessola, the youngest island in the Venetian lagoon. Artificially created in the 19th century from materials remaining from the construction of the Santa Marta commercial port, the island’s 40 acres make it one of the largest, as well. Sacca Sessola’s convenient location means that Marriott Venice Italy will only be a short boat ride away from Venice’s main attractions, while offering guests the peace and tranquility of a private island.

Nestled among gardens and olive groves, the Marriott Venice Italy will offer 266 guest rooms and suites, designed by Matteo Thun & Partners of Milan. Keeping with the theme of relaxation and luxury, the resort will also offer a health club and spa. Guests who wish to swim will be able to choose from indoor, outdoor, and rooftop swimming pools. Every room will reflect Marriott’s commitment to comfort and style. In addition, 13,000 square feet of the JW Marriott Venice will be dedicated to meeting space for business travelers and conferences.
