Paceville Hotels

Paceville hotels are plentiful, yet many actually have an address in St Julians because Paceville is simply a rather small neighborhood within the town of St Julians, even though it has its own character as though it were its own town. However, you will find several accommodation options and hotels in Paceville right in the midst of the activity. There is excellent cheap Paceville lodging as well as five star resorts, and virtually everything in between. There are no beaches here, but you can find several beach hotels on the coast a bit to the north, and you can walk to the beach in St Julians or Sliema.

Most of the cheap Paceville lodging is in good three star hotels that are modest, but clean and comfortable. The Rokna Hotel is a good example. It is set just behind the five star Hilton in the heart of the neighborhood and within walking distance to all the nightclubs and dining spots, the seaside, central bus stop, and marina where there are many sailing yachts for charter. You can also walk out to the tip of Dragonara Point, where the world-class casino is located. Included in the room price is a continental breakfast and the hotel also has one of the best pizzerias in the area. Rooms are a bit small by American standards, which can be alleviated by ensuring you have one of the rooms with a balcony. Book as far in advance as possible.

Other cheap Paceville lodging can be found in a number of modest aparthotels, with self-catering apartments that can sleep as many as six guests. These Paceville accommodations are ideal for the young people who come in small groups to enjoy the area’s celebrated nightlife. Basic housekeeping services are generally included and there are fully equipped kitchens, televisions, and telephones.

There are also four star Paceville hotels within walking distance of all the attractions in this small neighborhood. Even the four star Cavalieri set on the shore between St Julians and Spinola Bay allows you to enjoy the quiet of this relatively secluded spot and still be within walking distance of the nightlife and other popular spots. The hotel has fabulous views across the bay to the Sliema skyline. Four star hotels in Paceville like the Cavalieri usually have one or two restaurants and swimming pools and perhaps a fitness room and gift shop.

There are a few luxury hotels in Paceville as well. The first two (the Sheraton and Hilton) were built here in the 1960s, beginning the boom of this area north of Valletta as a popular tourist destination. The Hilton remains one of the country’s finest hotels, and the Sheraton is now the deluxe Westin. Both of these have magnificent sea views, and anchor the night club district. They also both have several dining spots, swimming pools, and deluxe rooms and suites. They offer scuba diving, sailing, and other water activities. Almost all Paceville hotels will be able to assist with and give advice about tours and excursions, but the luxury hotels will have tour desks right in their lobbies as well as access to boats and professional guides.
