Bled Hotels

Lake Bled and the adjoining town of Bled are together one of the top tourist destinations in Slovenia. This alpine lake high in the Julian Alps of Slovenia's northwest has some of the most breathtaking scenery in Eastern Europe. Finding accommodation in Bled that complements the picturesque environment can greatly enhance the experience of staying in this mountain town, and many Bled hotels offer affordable accommodation with beautiful views.

One of the most popular Bled hotels is the highly-rated Garni Hotel Berc. The Garni Hotel offers excellent value for money and is one of the most charming locations to find accommodation in Bled. Just a few minutes' walk from Lake Bled and the town, Garni Hotel's location can't be beat. This small family-run hotel is renowned for its great service and local charm. Housed in a chalet-style two-story wooden building, the interior is decorated with woodworking, exposed pine beams, fresh flowers, and rustic appeal. Rooms open out onto a terrace running the length of the second floor, and they are comfortably appointed, clean and spacious, with rustic wood furniture and en suite bathrooms. Free internet and a good breakfast are included in the price of a room, with excellent rates for double occupancy. Past guests at the Garni Hotel Berc rave about the wonderful hospitality and service they experienced at the hotel, and staff are ready to help tourists with information and help booking activities. All told, this excellent Lake Bled hotel is one of the best bargains in town.

Another excellent and well-priced option for accommodation in Bled is the Pension Meyer. Just a stone's throw away from the lake, this Lake Bled hotel is housed in a renovated historic house that's more than a century old. Pension Meyer has a large garden in which guests can relax while enjoying a view of Lake Bled's castle, as well as an excellent restaurant with delicious food accompanied by Slovenian wine from the hotel wine cellar. Guests can pay to have all their meals served at the hotel with the half or full-board options (lunch or dinner, or both daily) to more fully appreciate the good food. With similar prices to the Garni Hotel Berc, Pension Meyer is another great option for affordable rates. Rooms are simply furnished but spacious, pleasant, and clean, with full-length windows opening out onto the balcony. For families or couples wanting more of a getaway, a small cottage is also available at very reasonable rates—it comes with beds for two to four people, a small living/dining area, and an en suite bathroom, all housed within a quaint, but comfortably furnished wooden cottage.

For travelers looking for a slightly more luxurious Bled Slovenia hotel, the Grand Hotel Toplice (pictured) may fit the bill. Although the Grand Hotel is one of the more expensive Bled hotels, its location right on the shore of Lake Bled and the awesome views of the island and castle make it completely worth the cost. A beautiful sun deck with lounge chairs allows guests to swim in a cordoned-off section of the lake or relax lakeside. Rooms and suites are comfortably furnished and richly decorated. A hotel spa is also available with saunas, a thermal pool, and other treatments. A buffet breakfast is also included in the price. For a larger Lake Bled hotel with modern amenities and great views, the Grand Hotel is an excellent choice, ensuring that the quality of your accommodations aligns with the stunning location in this part of Slovenia.
