Piran Hotels

Piran hotels may not plentiful, but there are good-quality options nonetheless. The compact coastal town of Piran is a delightful place to relax on the waterfront while enjoying a drink in a café or restaurant, or to explore the ancient medieval buildings that are beautifully preserved in the town center. This small town offers a few excellent choices, and for those in search of accommodation there are both luxury options as well as budget youth hostels.
The premiere hotel in Piran Slovenia is the 4-star Hotel Piran. With an excellent location on the waterfront, Hotel Piran is the best choice for a luxury Piran beach hotel. Located right next to the town beach, Hotel Piran is also conveniently situated just more than 100 yards from the town center. Every room with a sea view comes equipped with a balcony, an excellent place to view the sun setting over the Adriatic Sea, one of the best views in the area. Built in the 1960s, the hotel was renovated in 2002, and the furnishings have been updated to make a stay at Hotel Piran one of the most modern and comfortable among Piran hotels. For added interest and luxury, consider staying in the Rocco or Rondola rooms, which are decorated in the Baroque style. Hotel Piran offers several dining choices, including an Italian pizzeria. Guests considering a longer-term stay at their Piran accommodation (a week or more) may wish to consider staying in the Apartments Vila Piranesi, a set of apartments affiliated with Hotel Piran, also located on the waterfront. These apartments comfortably house two to four people and are equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, beds, and living areas.
Another excellent choice for Piran accommodation is the Hotel Tartini (pictured), a hotel named after the famous violinist and composer Giuseppi Tartini, whose monument can also be seen in the town square. Hotel Tartini is a charming mid-size hotel in Piran Slovenia located right in Tartini Square, which since 2008 has been closed to vehicular traffic, making for one of the most pleasant and quiet locations of all the Piran hotels. Rooms look out either on a view of Piran and the bay or on the medieval buildings of Tartini Square. Hotel Tartini offers comfortably furnished rooms (a penthouse suite is also available), a restaurant, and a café, as well as free entrance to the casino in Portoroz. A good way to enjoy the ambience of the square is to have a light lunch on the terrace in front of the hotel, which allows guests to take in the sights of Tartini Square in a relaxed atmosphere.
For travelers looking for a budget hotel in Piran Slovenia, Youth Hostel Val may fit the bill. A popular hostel located near the waterfront, Youth Hostel Val has rooms with two, three, or four beds with separate showers and toilets on each floor. It also has its own hotel restaurant, which can also be used for larger gatherings. Another popular choice for cheap Piran accommodation is the Alibi Hostel located in the center of town, which has nicely furnished rooms with en suite bathrooms, and a private terrace available on the roof for guests who book the double room with terrace option.
The many options for hotels in this lovely town ensure a memorable stay during your trip to Slovenia, whether you've come for the beaches, history, food, or simply to relax and soak up the scenery of Eastern Europe.
