Cheap Cordoba Hotels

Cheap Cordoba hotels are available in good supply, so travelers don't have to break the bank on lodging when visiting one of Spain's most famous cities. Better yet, many of the cheap hotels in Cordoba are well-situated, so it's not necessary to stay far away from all the main attractions when looking to save on rates.
Found near the Palace of Viana at Calle San Zoilo 4, the Hotel San Miguel (pictured) certainly enjoys a good location. The historic core of the city is only about five minutes away by foot. A good location isn't the only thing to like about this well-priced hotel, however. In each of the eleven guestrooms, air conditioning and heating are both available, and private bathrooms come standard. A TV, a safe, and Internet access figure among the other standard amenity highlights, and the facilities, while limited, include a lovely inner courtyard. Also worth mentioning when it comes to the Hotel San Miguel is the adjacent parking garage.
Travelers searching for cheap Cordoba Spain accommodations won't want to overlook the Hotel Maestre. Even during the high season, this budget-friendly hotel at Calle de Romero Barros , 4 and 6, maintains impressively low rates, and the location is a good one. About a five-minute walk away is the renowned Mezquita. As for the rooms, they all feature satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, safes, and private bathrooms. Facilities include an elevator to get to the upper floors and an underground garage for guests who are in need of a place to park their vehicles. It should be noted that the Hotel Maestre has a nearby sister hotel, or sister hostel, as it is. This hostel, the Hostal Maestre, offers even cheaper rooms that all feature air conditioning, a TV, and a bathroom. Well-equipped Cordoba apartments can also be booked through the Hotel Maestre, and the rates aim to please.
Should these cheap Cordoba hotels be fully booked, there is little need to worry. Others, such as the Hotel Plateros and the Hotel Mezquita, stand ready to meet the needs of budget travelers as well. The Hotel Plateros calls Plaza Seneca 4 home, which puts it within easy reach of all the major attractions, and free Wi-Fi can be enjoyed in the onsite cafeteria. A historical building that dates back to 1857 houses the twelve rooms, and found within these rooms are a TV and a telephone. Private bathrooms with showers are also among the amenities, and both heating and air conditioning help to keep things comfortable.
As for the Hotel Mezquita, it enjoys one of the best locations of any Cordoba hotel. It is situated just opposite the Mezquita-Catedral at C/ Pl. Santa Catalina 1. There are four single rooms, 23 doubles, three triples, and one quadruple. Each is tasteful enough and features a full bathroom, a telephone, satellite TV, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Breakfast is available for an added fee and can be enjoyed in a lovely patio.
As a side note, the hotels in Cordoba, especially those that are on the cheaper side, tend to display their star ratings. This makes it easy to find a discount hotel. All you have to do is look for a sign with one or two stars, and maybe even three if you wish to spend a little more for some added comfort.
Also worth keeping in mind is the fact that many of the local "hostals" are very well-priced, and that a hostal is slightly different than a hostel. Hostals tend to be simple budget lodging, but do not usually have the dorm-style accommodations associated with hostels. Take the Hostal Osio, for example. Found at C/Osio, 6, this wonderfully-situated budget hotel offers some of the lowest rates around. This doesn't mean that the rooms lack amenities, however. TV, complete bathrooms, and both heating and air conditioning come standard. Free Wi-Fi is also an amenity that can be taken advantage of, and parking is complimentary for guests in need.
