Alhambra Tours

Alhambra tours are the most popular tours in Granada, Spain. This is mostly due to the fact that the Alhambra quite simply figures among the very best attractions in the country, if not all of Europe. It might also have something to do with the fact that virtually every Alhambra tour includes a tour of the neighboring Generalife Palace and its splendid gardens.

The Alhambra tours come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so tourists who are visiting the Granada area shouldn't have trouble finding one that suits their needs. In isn't necessary to be in the immediate Granada area when looking to arrange a tour of this spectacular fortress, however. There are Alhambra guided tours that originate out of other hotspots around southern Spain. These spots include Seville and Malaga. All transportation is provided, with hotel pick-up and drop-off service available. Competent guides are in place to provide in-depth info, and they speak both Spanish and English.

One of the best things about Alhambra guided tours is the fact that guests won't have to stand in line waiting for a ticket. The various tour agencies buy large quantities of tickets in advance. Generally speaking, guided Alhambra tours can accommodate up to 30 people and last around three to four hours, which is just enough time to see all the top Alhambra and Generalife sights.

For those who wish to enjoy private Alhambra tours, they are relatively easy to arrange. As can be expected, the private tour rates are considerably higher than the rates for group tours. The cheapest tours are the audio guide tours, which cost a few dollars on top of the general admission price. Also worth noting is the fact that some of the guided tours that originate out of the Alhambra itself eventually head to the city's historic district after the nearby Generalife Palace is covered. These tours are usually available on a daily basis from January 1 to July 31 and from September 1 to December 31.
