Costa Tropical Granada

Costa Tropical Granada is a wonderful place to escape to when some fun in the Spanish sun is in order. Found in the province of Granada, this resort area between the Costa del Sol and the Costa del Almeria is known for its fantastic mix of beaches and coves. This isn't the only thing that draws tourists in, however. Teeing it up for a round of golf is just one option for things to do when a break from the beach is desired, and you can bet that dining on fresh seafood is among the most popular ways to spend some time.

Costa Tropical de Granada Spain has long been a secret of sorts when it comes to world vacation destinations. Word is quickly getting out, however, and it's not hard to understand why. For starters, this region is beautiful and offers easy access to both beaches and mountains. Adding allure to Costa Tropical Granada region is its proximity not only to Granada itself, but to the other cool regional cities, such as Malaga. Buses and trains can come in handy when making side trips to other regional locales, though Costa Tropical visitors might just find that renting a car is the best way to go. Thanks to road improvements in recent years, the drive from Costa Tropical to the province capital of Granada only takes about a half an hour.

It's almost always warm and sunny in Costa Tropical de Granada Spain. Combine this with the amazing beaches, and it becomes clear that this region can make a fine Spanish beach vacation destination. In regional towns such as Motril and Almunecar, there are plenty of amenities for beachgoers to take advantage of, as these are bigger tourist areas. For those who are interested in a more natural and tranquil beach experience, Albunol boasts the wonderfully relaxed La Guardia Beach, and the coves at El Pargo and El Caleton are also worth keeping in mind. There are even beaches in the Costa Tropical region that cater to naturists, thanks in part to their relative seclusion. These beaches include El Ruso Beach in Albunol and La Joya Beach in Motril.

Between the relatively busy town of Motril and the more relaxed town of Slobrena is the Los Moriscos Golf Course. It offers eighteen holes and an all around wonderful atmosphere. Palms help to beautify the grounds, and both views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra Nevada Mountains can be savored from any and all vantage points. After a round, visitors can dine at the club's restaurant before returning back to their villa, apartment, or hotel room.

Golfing is just one of many outdoor activities that can be added to the agenda when vacationing in the Costa Tropical de Granada Spain. On the water sports side of things, the options include diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, and sailing. When staying on dry land is the aim, Costa Tropical Granada visitors can consider booking a guided birdwatching tour. Hiking tours can also be arranged in the area, and they often highlight the local flora and fauna. During the winter months, a trip into the high Sierra Nevadas can revolve around skiing or snowboarding. This is a multifaceted destination, and thanks to the year-round activity options, there is really never a bad time to visit.

There are some excellent Granada hotels to choose from, and the province capital also boasts some good apartment rental options. For those who are interested in Granada villas, however, looking outside of the city is recommended. The Costa Tropical Granada is home to some of the province's most enticing villa rentals. Some villas are even equipped with their own private pools. Apartments are also available for rent in the Costa Tropical region for those who might not need a more spacious villa, and a number of hotels stand ready to serve the lodging needs of incoming visitors. The hotels include budget-friendly hostals, such as the Hostal Palomares in Salobrena, so visitors don't have to break the bank on accommodations. On the more upscale side of things is the three-star Hotel Arrayanes Playa in Almunecar, and the Al Brisas Hotel in Salobrena does a fantastic job of blending the hotel experience with the apartment rental experience.
