Cala Jondal Beach is one of the most relaxed beaches on the island. But it still has a good selection of bars, cafés, and sophisticated restaurants—many with music. Its serenity is due to its relative distance from the famous nightlife of Playa den Bossa outside Ibiza Town, as well as the fact that it is set in a conservation area. Cala Jondal Ibiza is part of the network of protected areas around the salt lakes near Las Salinas Beach.
Most of the hotels near Cala Jondal are found in Ibiza Town or along the Playa den Bossa Beach strip. This also helps to keep Cala Jondal more subdued, as its a long way to travel if you’ve been imbibing and enjoying parties through most of the night. One of the hotels near Cala Jondal is also one of the island’s most exclusive luxury hotels. The Hotel Las Brisas has only three suites and six rooms, all deluxe and unique. It is set on a rocky hill above Es Cubells Bay in beautifully landscaped gardens with fabulous views. This property is about a mile west of the beach. Even closer, in the little community of Ses Salinas is the Sa Palmera Hotel.
The beach at Cala Jondal Ibiza is more than 60 feet wide, and more than 700 feet long. There are two popular nightclubs near here, the Blue Marlin and Tropicana, both of which are far enough away from the beach itself to not spoil the peaceful atmosphere. Things to do at Cala Jondal include visiting the nightclubs and dancing at a couple of the beach bars. There waters of the beach are quite clear, and the snorkeling is excellent.
