Cala Tarida Ibiza is a small resort town about a twenty-minute drive southwest of San Antonio, and about ten minutes due west of the charming hillside town of San Jose. In the summer, you can reach this lovely family beach in Ibiza by ferry from elsewhere on the island. At nearly 3,000 feet long, it is the longest of the beaches on this side of the island, and is set in a beautiful curving bay. It is also a very wide beach (more than 80 feet), and the crystal clear turquoise waters remain shallow for quite a distance out. This makes Tarida Beach in Ibiza excellent for family vacations. There is a diving school here, and the rocks offshore make this a great diving spot.
There are a few Cala Tarida hotels to choose from, but many families will choose from the many apartments that can be found in Cala Vadella, located about a mile south. The best of the Cala Tarida hotels for families is the four-star Club Tarida Beach Hotel. There are five pools, including a large children’s wading pool. Rooms and studios can sleep up to four adults and one or two children, and are equipped with a small kitchenette. One of the island’s luxury hotels is also located here, the Club Victoria Country Hotel
In addition to diving and snorkeling, Tarida Beach in Ibiza has pedaloes and volleyball nets. There are also sunbeds and umbrellas, which are important as the beach has almost no shade. Cala Tarida Ibiza also has a variety of good restaurants, cafés, and bars offering some low key nightlife.
