Club Hotel Portinatx Ibiza

The Club Hotel Portinatx Ibiza is a fine three-star property overlooking a small private cove and located on the western point that is known for its historic watchtower dating to the eighteenth century. This area has excellent hiking, and some of the trails lead to lovely secluded beaches that are almost deserted a good deal of the time. This all inclusive lodging in Portinatx is ideal for families with children, as all meals can be included, helping the family to save on dining out costs. Certain alcoholic beverages, like house wine and beer with meals, select cocktails, and soft drinks are also included. It is known for its excellent family oriented entertainment, and youthful staff of very enthusiastic performers (called “animators”) who also supervise organized children’s activities at the property’s various facilities.

The Club Hotel in Portinatx offers what many guests describe as an endless supply of food. In the main restaurant, three included meals are served, all buffet style, and there is also a snack bar and café. The Club Hotel Portinatx Ibiza is a large complex with two large swimming pools (one lagoon style), a small private beach with beach bar, and various sun terraces. The grounds are extensive with landscaped gardens as well as wilder sections. Things to do at this all inclusive lodging in Portinatx include kayaking and windsurfing, activities that are included in the price. The performers and social directors also supervise archery and aerobics classes and organize dart tournaments. You can even bring the grandparents along, as they might enjoy the nightly bingo games.

The Club Hotel in Portinatx is not recommended for those with mobility issues or difficulty walking, as the grounds have numerous up and down slopes. The walk down to the beach takes about fifteen minutes, and the entire complex is fairly spread out, requiring quite a bit of walking. Getting to town is also a walk of about fifteen minutes. If you grow tired of the sedate and quiet nature of this little resort town, there are buses available into Santa Eulalia (location of the island’s famous hippy market left over from the 1960s) and Ibiza Town, where you can enjoy tours of the UNESCO World Heritage Dalt Villa with its ancient walled citadel. From town, you can also take round the island ferries that stop in places such as San Antonio, Cala Tarida, and Playa den Bossa.

Even though the Club Hotel Portinatx Ibiza is in a quiet resort area geared towards families and has very subdued nightlife, hotel babysitting services mean that parents can head out to one of the island’s famous nightclubs for an evening during their vacations. The Club Hotel in Portinatx rooms are modest, but spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. They are air conditioned (a big plus during the hot summer weather), and have satellite television. Many of the rooms have balconies and/or wonderful views down to the sea. This is an excellent all inclusive lodging in Portinatx for those who are active and have active children.
