Eden Ibiza is one of the hedonistic mega clubs on Ibiza Island. It was a club called Kaos throughout the 1990s, and opened as the Eden Nightclub for the beginning of the 2000 season.
This nightclub in San Antonio Ibiza actually has a dress code, quite a departure from the “anything goes” atmosphere of the island’s other bug clubs like Space and Privilege. However, the dress code isn’t too restrictive. No football (soccer) shirts are allowed, as they tend to contribute to fights when you combine groups of avid European football fans with mass quantities of alcohol and wild parties. Beachwear is not allowed, and everyone except dance performers must keep their tops on at all times. Since the performers often include the famous scantily clad and sometimes topless Ibiza girls, there is still an air of hedonism.
The Eden Nightclub is located right across the street from the Es Paradise, second oldest club on the island after the venerable Pacha in Ibiza Town. Pacha’s symbol logo is an image of two cherries, and apparently the Roman themed and beautiful club Es Paradis based its apple symbol on that. And, in turn, Eden Ibiza appropriated the Es Paradis apple. This caused a long-standing feud between the two clubs, and the competition is quite fierce as they vie for customers. Eden Ibiza tickets are pricey, as is true of the island’s other big clubs, but they are slightly less expensive. This could change now that the upstart club has become so successful. The feud between the two clubs is probably the main reason that the Eden Ibiza tickets are relatively low priced.
Eden Ibiza is set right on the water of San Antonio town, facing the harbor and marina on the east side of town. A typical night of clubbing here begins at sunset on the west side of town (called Sunset Strip or simply El West). This point of land opposite the east end is famed for its spectacular sunsets, and this is where there is a large concentration of hotels, apartments, and pre-disco bars. After getting well lubricated and watching the sunset, people might have a bite to eat and then begin to move east, generally arriving at Eden Nightclub and Es Paradis around 10 p.m. to midnight. Clustered around the ferry port to the east of the two larger clubs are several smaller bars and discos, as well as some hotels.
If you don’t want to walk to get there, and can’t walk to get back, the famed Disco Bus ferries people back and forth all night long. Capacity is about 5,000 people, and there are more than a dozen different bars, each with their own vibe, a VIP area overlooking the entire scene, and a “funky room.” As with all clubs, Eden Ibiza tickets are more expensive if you buy them at the door, and you could wait in quite a long line. You can buy them in town before your night of partying, and many vacations will include them as part of a package price.
