When looking for a San Antonio luxury hotel you will have to be satisfied with a four star rating. There are about ten of these, and they are primarily traditional high rise beach resorts (like the Hotel Bellamar) located between Sunset Strip to the west and the nightclubs of town. Some are also hotels with apartments, one of the most popular forms of lodging on the island. It’s within walking distance of the ferry port, where you can get boats to other parts of the island to Denia on the mainland of Spain near Valencia. A more unique option is the Agriturismo Can Marti, located in the hills above Portinatx is an example. It’s a self-sufficient organic farm built in the 1770s. Four complete apartments, including two detached cottages are decorated in a unique style and all have full kitchens. The proprietress will even demonstrate cooking methods using fresh produce from the farm and your assistance. You can hang out in hamman (Turkish bath), get in some hiking or horseback riding, and get to the beaches and legendary nightlife in just a few minutes. It’s pricey, but a stay at this upscale accommodation in Ibiza is well worth it.
