Ibiza Luxury Hotels

There are Ibiza luxury hotels located everywhere on this small island, ranging from luxurious modern beach resorts to historic restored mansions in towns. Some are very unique, combining local culture and charm with the history of the island. But no matter which part of the island you want to stay in during your vacation here, there is a property nearby that will provide luxurious and comfortable lodging.

A unique boutique property is the Hotel Es Vive (pictured), an Ibiza Town luxury hotel also with a bit of history as a favored hippie and rock star hotel in the 1960s and 1970s. Today, it is a sexy, exclusive art deco hotel for adults only, and boasts the famous Smirnoff Experience, a tres chic bar where jet set parties occur after dark. Attend one of these parties, and you might be rubbing elbows with the likes of Jade Jagger or one of her famous parents, Kate Moss, or Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. This 5 star lodging in Ibiza has a full-service spa, gourmet restaurant, and is set across from the street at the northern edge of Playa den Bossa.

One of the best Ibiza luxury hotels is the Gran Hotel, located across from the Ibiza Town harbor with superb views of Dalt Vila, the old city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Grand Suite has breathtaking views from both bedrooms, and a private solarium and swimming pool. The property has a gourmet restaurant, full luxuriant spa, two large swimming pools, and its own casino. Most of the other luxury hotels in Ibiza Town are four star properties.

Other luxury hotels in Ibiza include more traditional beach resorts, like the Hotel Fenicia Prestige and Spa in Santa Eulalia, just steps from the beaches. This is a large resort complex (172 rooms), with several restaurants, bars and lounges, huge swimming pool, and is set just steps from the beaches of the town. There is a full-service spa and supervised children’s activities during the day, so it is good for family vacations. This 5 star lodging in Ibiza also offers yacht charters. Another 5 star lodging in Ibiza in Santa Eulalia is the Hotel Aguas Resort and Spa, a truly beautiful property on a point near the harbor.

When looking for a San Antonio luxury hotel you will have to be satisfied with a four star rating. There are about ten of these, and they are primarily traditional high rise beach resorts (like the Hotel Bellamar) located between Sunset Strip to the west and the nightclubs of town. Some are also hotels with apartments, one of the most popular forms of lodging on the island. One of these Ibiza luxury hotels is the ApartHotel Blau Park, located right on the beach in the north part of town. It’s within walking distance of the ferry port, where you can get boats to other parts of the island to Denia on the mainland of Spain near Valencia. If you’re looking for luxury hotels in Ibiza on the famous Playa den Bossa, the four star rule applies here also. But there are several four star properties along this beach famous for its nightlife, and nightclubs like Space.

A more unique option is the Agriturismo Can Marti, located in the hills above Portinatx is an example. It’s a self-sufficient organic farm built in the 1770s. Four complete apartments, including two detached cottages are decorated in a unique style and all have full kitchens. The proprietress will even demonstrate cooking methods using fresh produce from the farm and your assistance. You can hang out in hamman (Turkish bath), get in some hiking or horseback riding, and get to the beaches and legendary nightlife in just a few minutes. It’s pricey, but a stay at this upscale accommodation in Ibiza is well worth it. There are a number of these historic fincas (country estates) in the island’s interior, and all are beautiful and unique.
