The numerous hedonistic Ibiza parties are legendary, and have dominated the holidays and vacations on this island since the flower power era of the 1960s. In fact, an extremely popular party in Ibiza is actually called “Flower Power” and has been held at the venerable Pacha Nightclub for as long as 30 years. Ibiza party packages are available from various operators all over Europe, Australia, and the United States. Many include round-trip flights, accommodation, and tickets to at least one party.

There are seven major nightclubs on the island, as wells as smaller clubs, and numerous music bars—including the legendary Bora Bora Beach Bar near the Jet Apartments on famous Playa den Bossa. This bar is a pre-clubbing Ibiza beach party venue where revelers watch the sunset, have a bite to eat, and get pre-inebriated prior to moving on to the nearby Space Nightclub. This kind of Ibiza beach party also occurs in San Antonio (famous for its spectacular sunsets), all the way along what is called Sunset Strip to the famed Eden and Es Paradis nightclubs. The majority of the beach bars have no entry fee, and drinks are cheaper than you will find in large clubs, but the deejays and music are still excellent. An Ibiza beach party is the golden opportunity for buff male body builders to strut their stuff and for bikini clad Ibiza girls to see and be seen.

Some hotels and apartments are actually party venues as well as hotels. At the Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio, there are all day and all night gigs and concerts held in the central courtyard, and you can attend right from your own room balcony. This hotel was once the Club Paraiso Mediterraneo, and since it was transformed into the Ibiza Rocks for the 2008 season, the Ibiza parties have become extremely popular.

The party scene in Ibiza at the major clubs and many of the smaller ones consists of different promoters who take over the clubs each night during the summer season. And the promoter or deejay will bring their own music style, decorations, and unique atmosphere to the venue. Some of these shows are world famous, like Manumission that was held for years at Privilege (pictured) and Amnesia and still embarks on world tours.

This means that you can find a club that has a party in Ibiza with completely different vibes, atmosphere, music, and clientele every night of the week. Adding to the mix is the fact that most of the clubs have separate rooms with different styles, so several different kinds of Ibiza parties can occur at the same venue on the same night. The promoters, disc jockeys, and performers are world famous—many are international stars. The VIP sections of the nightclubs are full of the rich and famous, and luminaries like Lady Ga Ga, the Black Eyed Peas, or Madonna might be convinced to get on stage for a set. Check the party calendars carefully, and plan your vacations and ticket purchases around the schedules.

Not every party in Ibiza is a wild hedonistic rave. Some resorts, like charming family friendly Portinatx on the far east coast and lovely Cala Tarida on the far west coast, are quiet and offer a much more subdued party atmosphere.
