Playa Den Bossa Hotels

Playa den Bossa hotels have the advantage of being located on the island’s longest and one of its most popular beaches (“playa,” means beach in Spanish). Its northern end is within walking distance of Ibiza Town, and it stretches for more than two miles south all the way to the island’s only airport.

Playa den Bossa accommodation accounts for the largest concentration and greatest variety of hotels, hostels, and apartments on the island. While you will be hard-pressed to find the kind of hostels that were so ubiquitous during the 1960s through the 1980s, it is still possible to find a couple properties that offer the same kind of convivial communal areas that young people on a budget are looking for.

You are more likely to find relatively inexpensive Playa den Bossa hotels in self-catering apartments that very often have enough bedrooms, beds, or convertible sofas so that a good sized group of friends can all room together, still enjoy good facilities, and save some money by cooking many of their meals themselves. The least expensive will be found a street or two inland from the beach.

The Regina Park Apartments (pictured) is a good example. One and two bedroom apartments are modest, but clean and comfortable, with kitchens and balconies. They also have what is called a “hungry hall,” a partially separate alcove or hallway with a sofa that coverts to a bed. There is a restaurant, swimming pool, children’s play park, and mini golf. It’s located about halfway down the beach and a couple streets in. The experience of the famous Ibiza beaches is still within walking distance, as are several of the nightclubs. Other Playa den Bossa accommodation in this category includes the Serenis Hotel (with a spa) and Club Can Bossa, all within the same block as the Regina Park.

Hotels in Playa den Bossa come in four different styles and standards, from budget to four-star luxury hotels and just about everything in between. There are all-inclusive family resorts and resort complexes that cater to young people bent on enjoying the island’s famous nightlife (often all night long). The quieter, family hotels in Playa den Bossa are primarily concentrated down on the southern end of the beach. One of the most well-known and popular of the Playa den Bossa hotels in the resort complex category is the Jet Apartments Complex. It is a large complex with three swimming pools, sun terraces, several restaurants and cafés, internet café, bars and pubs, and even a beauty salon. Apartments sleep up to six people, and the most of the properties are on the beach. If you want to be close to the legendary nightclub Space, you might want to check out the Fiesta Palm Beach

One of the most popular hotels in Playa den Bossa for family vacations is the Palladium Palace, a four-star property at the far southern end of the (almost to Las Salinas Beach). Rooms and suites are modern and quite deluxe, many with terraces overlooking the ocean. There are two restaurants, three bars, two huge swimming pools, children’s play area, and fitness center. It’s possible to book this property with an all-inclusive option that includes a certain number of complimentary cocktails, half-board, and free use of some sports facilities.

On the other end of the scale (and the other end of the beach) is a luxury boutique Playa den Bossa accommodation called Villa Can Cabei. This is a historic converted farmhouse just on the southern edge of Ibiza Town and at the northern edge of Playa den Bossa. This charming vacation rental sleeps six, is fully self-contained, and is quite secluded from the party atmosphere while still being close to everything.
